A study led by Professor Changju Kim from Ritsumeikan University, Japan, explores how choice overload affects users of ChatGPT's recommendations.

Choice overload, the overwhelming feeling when making decisions with too many options, was examined in relation to ChatGPT's recommendation capacity. Surprisingly, users preferred more options generated by ChatGPT, attributing it to accurate information. This suggests that chatbots like ChatGPT can offer personalized and extensive choices without inducing choice overload, aiding industries such as tourism and e-commerce.

GPT-4V: 100% Success Rate Against Jailbreak Attempts

OpenAI conducted red teaming with external experts to evaluate the risks and limitations of GPT-4, particularly its vision capabilities.

They focused on key risk areas including scientific proficiency, medical advice, stereotyping, disinformation, hateful content, and visual vulnerabilities. Through model-level mitigations and a refusal system, they achieved a 100% refusal rate in handling problematic content.
