Altman Returns, New Board Formed
Sam Altman is back as CEO of OpenAI after a tumultuous week. The company announced a new initial board, and cofounder Greg Brockman is also returning. Tensions between Altman and board member Helen Toner and Altman's desire to be on the board were part of the behind-the-scenes drama. The final board composition remains uncertain, and the reasons for Altman's initial firing are still unknown.
Remark: Earlier last week the company announced that it fired Sam Altman. Over 700 of the approximately 770 OpenAI employees have issued a threat to resign unless the board steps down.
Bard's YouTube Extension Enhances Video Interaction
Google's AI Chatbot Bard has improved over time. Bard, now offers enhanced YouTube integration to analyze videos for specific information without watching. While useful, it raises concerns for creators as Bard may reduce engagement and revenue from video content. The feature is currently in Labs, but its future impact on YouTube's ecosystem remains uncertain.

Researchers at Chung-Ang University in South Korea have developed a wearable robot that assists individuals with walking difficulties. The robot focuses on the frontal plane of the human body, improving balance and reducing the metabolic cost of walking by 11.6%. This innovation could aid people with muscle weakness, those recovering from surgeries, and individuals experiencing walking challenges.

The latest ChatGPT version, GPT-4, outperforms professional columnists in giving personal advice, according to a study. ChatGPT's improved responses are perceived as more balanced, empathetic, and helpful. While participants still prefer human advice, well-designed chatbots could potentially augment therapy in the future.

Once you're logged in, go to the Bard website.
On Bard's main page, turn on the desired extensions from the top right corner: Google Flights, Google Hotels, Google Maps, YouTube, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive).
Now, you can use tags like @docs, @drive, or @gmail to instruct the chatbot.
For instance, you can use the following prompt to receive summaries of your unread emails:
